It's fair to say that many designers are now owners of Apple's iPhone and since the App Store opened the desire for the iPhone has grown even more. So with the continued development of Apps, are there any that are useful to us in the creative industry?
The simple answer is yes. From organisational tools to apps to inspire and motivate - they're all out there if you're prepared to dig around. Here's three that caught our attention - search iTunes for similar, read the reviews and fill your phone with inspiration.
Oblique. Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt published 'Oblique Strategies' in the 1970's - a set of cards with a phrase or idea to overcome a creative block. This app is a modern day take on the same principle.
Palettes. Create colour schemes, sample colours from websites or iPhone photos. Also import and export colour palettes to and from Photoshop - enough said!
Colorexpert. An interactive colour wheel and Pantone swatch library with both websafe and HTML colours
The Palettes is very useful as you can pick you color ideas on the fly.
